HYDROPOINT TO PRESENT, INSTRUCT AND EXHIBIT AT IRRIGATION ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE

Petaluma, Calif., November 3, 2004 - HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc., the leading provider of smart irrigation management solutions, today announced that Tom Ash, Director of Conservation Alliances, and Rick Malkin, Senior Product Manager, will present at the 25th Annual Irrigation Association (IA) conference, Nov. 14-16, 2004, at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL.

Tom Ash will review the results of independent studies of smart irrigation management systems in his presentation, "Public Agency Studies of ET Controller Performance" on Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 at 3:40 PM. Mr. Ash, a practicing horticulturist and former water agency conservation coordinator, will highlight several multi-year studies that confirm the ability of some evapotranspiration (ET) controllers to achieve water savings of greater than 50%. These ET controllers, which fine-tune irrigation in accordance with daily local weather, have also demonstrated their ability to optimize plant health and reduce runoff through precise, plant-specific watering. Participants will come away from Mr. Ash's presentation prepared to interpret and apply study findings when selecting controllers that meet the environmental and fiscal objectives of local governments, green industry professionals and end users.

Rick Malkin, an Irrigation Association authorized supervising regional instructor, has led numerous courses, including "Advanced Irrigation Design", "Advanced Electrical Troubleshooting" and "Controller Repair", at IA conferences over the past eight years. At this year's event, Mr. Malkin will co-present a series of courses including "Electrical Troubleshooting", "Irrigation Math Refresher", "Irrigation Installation and Maintenance" and "Landscape Drainage Design and Irrigation Hydraulics". A complete conference course schedule, along with registration and travel information, is available on the IA Web site at www.irrigation.org.
